It’s time to prioritize you.

Teletherapy makes this even easier.

A Device - with Internet.

Typically, any device will do, as long as it has the right internet capability; most clients choose to use either:

  • a laptop/desktop computer with a camera

  • a smartphone

Depending on which services are right for you or your loved one, you may need a combination of both for your first session.

A Comfy Space.

(Pajamas are optional, but also encouraged.)

Make sure you are comfortable.

Why?

We do our best work this way. When our bodies can fully relax, our minds can fully focus on the task at hand.

Take advantage of being in a familiar space, and get comfy.

A Door to Close.

We want you to get the most out of your session.

When you are able to reduce distractions - auditory or visual - by closing a door, you are likely able to focus better. For some clients, a quiet environment is also required for calibrating software we may use.

FAQ

“Do I need a special app?”

All software that we use is web-based, meaning you do not have to download anything. You will need at least 10+ Mbps for quality video+audio during sessions to ensure your connection speed will support a full session - that is, without freezing or causing other connectivity issues.

Additional apps or software downloads will be reviewed during your free consultation and/or before your evaluation as appropriate.

“How do I find my internet speed?

You can easily check your internet speed here.

“Okay, my internet speed is fine, but it’s not always reliable.”

If you have difficulty with reliable internet via WiFi, using an ethernet cable can be helpful.

“I still struggle with access to high-speed internet.”

The Line Extension Customer Assistance Program (“LECAP”) provides up to $3000 in assistance to qualifying and eligible consumers who seek to extend telecommunications lines to their homes. Hundreds of Vermonters without 25/3 Mbps broadband service live just beyond the reach of current cable and other Internet Service Providers’ networks.

The LECAP program is available to Vermonters who can demonstrate a COVID-19–related need, such as remote learning / telehealth / telework, lack of a minimum of 25/3 broadband internet service, and are “near net” for a cable video provider or other Internet Service Provider.  Consumers must request the line extension from the appropriate service provider and also apply for the line extension financial assistance program from the Department of Public Service.  Approval will be based on need, cost-effectiveness, and site-appropriateness of the line extension.  Payments from this program will be made by the Department directly to the service provider on behalf of the consumer.
